Benji Update: Benji I'm thankful to say, is back to his normal self and feeling great! He is eating, playing and loving on Sammie again. He thanks you all for your wonderful support and purrs. Without them...what would he do? Love and purrs from Benji and me, his meowmie, Kat.

Update: Benji had a temperature of 105.7 (it should only be about 101.5)!!! In the doc's words, "Wow, he is cookin'!". Dr. McKinney was very surprised and showed me that his thermometer only registered to 106 degrees. But, Dr. McKinney said that Benji's color was good, his lungs and gut sounded good and he was showing no obvious signs to determine the source of his fever. So, he diagnosed Benj with a fever of unknown origins and gave him a shot of Penecilin(sp?), something for his fever and some antiobiotics to give at home. He said if he's not acting better by tomorrow he may need to go back for a blood workup to make sure his kidneys and liver are functioning properly. Dr. McKinney said it could just be something viral or bacterial causing his fever. Let's hope that's all it is! Thanks so much for all the well wishes and purrs for Benji and just continue them as I purray these meds do the trick. Purrs from Benji and hugs from me, Kat! P.S. I just went downstairs after typing this update and to my surprise, Benji hopped up, followed me to the kitchen and proceeded to ask for his food! Those meds worked quick! Yeah! Hopefully he'll continue to improve! Thanks again, all of your purrayers and purrs are working!

Please be purraying, sending healing vibes and good thoughts Benji's way. He has not been feeling well since Saturday around lunch time. He hasn't eaten his crunchies since Sat. afternoon and has been resting in the above seen spot since then too. You can just look at him and tell he doesn't feel good. He did eat some Greenies treats for lunch and dinner yesterday, which is good and he has been coming down to drink. Why does everything happen on the weekend!?? Anyway, I will be calling the vet to get him in sometime today and I'll keep ya updated. Hopefully it's nothing bad and they can fix him right up. Thanx! -Emma's Kat
